    History Found In the Field

How could I have not known this when Chapeze Distillery is down the road from my house? That is where the movie "Stripes" was made.

    History Found In the Field

Not sure, but I would bet this bourbon was a short partnership with E.H. Taylor, the mayor of Franfort and the man who started the "bottled in bond" laws that forced bourbon distillers to actually make real bourbon and not cheap poison that would ruin the image of real Kentucky bourbon. Awesome...

    Stacking Stones

There is a rock lined well on the farm next to mine. It is on top of a ridge. I believe these wells are cisterns. How can ground water get into a well on top of a ridge? I believe they brought water from the creek and filled these wells to have water near their houses. They dug wells 20" deep...

Did my dog get bit by a copperhead?

KDFWR says copperheads are in every county in KY and are one of the most common snakes but I've only seen one in my life. My grandfather hunted ginseng and he killed them all the time. The one I did see matched the leaves so well that it was a fluke that I saw it. That tells me that I have...

    Dandelion Neighbors

What's most aggravating is that dandelion is this easiest weed there is to control with any 2,4-d product. In KY, the biggest problem weed your neighbors give you is bermudagrass:mad:

    Old Farmall Tractors

I remember many Farmalls used to cultivate tobacco when I was a kid. I had a IH 454 with a warped head. It leaked coolant into the oil pan. I drained the water from the oil pan b4 I used it for years! Finally sold it. I wish I would of restored it now:( Made in Louisville KY. Diesel engine...

    First Pronghorn Hunt - Wyoming

Pick decent access area that you dont have the pp's to draw and apply for it hoping to draw randomly and keep buying points. You may draw. You certainly cant draw if you dont apply.

Some year, in a land far far away, I'm gonna get drawn for multiple animals and states and have to eat a tag but then I'll wake up and figure out it was a dream. Good dream, bad dream combo!

    Made in China

How awesome would it be if Americans stopped giving their money to companies who outsource their labor to the Chinese communist party and started rewarding American companies who pay American workers who have American families living in America? Pay the extra money
