I know absolutely nothing about calling bears. But I've tried it 3 times, and 2 of those times the bear has come immediately running in on a string. Ended up shooting one of them. I have no idea where I even got this call, but this is the one I used and has always had a permanent place in one...- Drake4

Utah fees increase: keep applying?
Haven't added it up but bet I'm less than $1k in non-refundable + bonus point fees in the 5 out of states I do. Obviously more than that when I draw one, but happy to pay that tag cost for a primo tag. -

I do 6 states each year, and have drawn a handful of great tags. I'd never be able to afford a landowner tag in the units I apply for. But different than most, I'm not going out of state unless it is a top tier tag. Would love for landowner tags to not exist. -
Starting reloading - what to get next?
Not long at all. Picked the bullet I wanted to shoot and powder ahead of time. One shooting session to pick the powder charge (maybe 15 shots), one shooting session to verify velocity.- Drake4

Hunting Rifle Triggers
This x100. I have 2 Triggertech Diamonds. They are unmatched for a hunting rifle in my opinion. Mine are set super light. I had a Jewell on a custom rifle as well. Kurt is 100% correct. They are pretty great 99.9% of the time, but I had one gum up on a mountain goat hunt that almost cost me...- Drake4
