Coastal Black Bears- Why do you go? Why Don't you go?
I will never shoot another coastal black bear even in the spring when they are considered edible. Taste horrible, waste of baggage fees to bring home.- glass eye

I live below sea level -40 ft in the Imperial Valley California. Drove up to the North Rim Grand Canyon to hunt Merriam’s at +8,000 ft. NZ Trophy Export costs
Coolers are bulky and heavy. I use large dry bags. For frozen items I insulate with dirty clothes etc.- glass eye

Capes salted, skull caps boiled. Majority of my waterfowl were skinned and salted to reduce weight and volume but some were frozen whole. Drying the capes is difficult along the coast but easy inland away from the coastal moisture.- glass eye

Found a way to get an Alaska Airline flight direct to Anchorage from Los Angeles, so that means I have more confidence in taking my lab with me. Hunted from a boat. You can kill commons from shore or an island but not the kings, they prefer open sea far from shore and deep water. They seem to like clusters of icebergs.- glass eye
