To add to the discussion, do we think any of these people taking kindergarteners on draw hunts would be toting them if it were a general hunt or non-youth quota? Kinda tells the tale on whether it's about the kid or not. How about youth quota dove hunts where the adult is allowed to shoot as...- howl

I happened to have the printed reg.s at hand. I see it says the child must be supervised and goes on to say supervision is immediately able to take control of the firearm. tl;dr where's the line between getting kids into the woods, and scamming the system? Here in GA the rule is the kid has to carry the gun. The idea is to limit people from using their three year old to get a permit for an adult to use. This past week my 14yo son and I went to S FL for a quota...- howl

Tubes off grinder or vacuum sealer for ground meat?
Dual grind straight into a bag is a huge time saver. Vacuum bags are nice because you can freeze the meat in a thin flat layer which thaws quickly. Slow, though.- howl

Small Bullets (.224) and BIG game
We eat several deer every year taken with .223 and have done for several years. Rough estimate, that's a couple dozen so far. It's one of the few cartridges we've never lost a deer with. What Sport did you play growing up?
Shooting is a sport. Football is just a game. Seems like they started writing about the games as though they were sports when adults began to play childrens' games for a living? Anyhow, for sports, it was archery, wrestling and mountain biking.- howl
