Packed up and just waiting for my son to get out of school. Going to take around 20 hours of driving to get back to the Bo. My brother is coming with us, so at least this trip I will have someone to help with the driving. Seems like it might be a tough hunt this year, but that's okay.
Last October, my son(13yr then, 14 now) was walking to the bus stop and was hit by a car at full speed. He was life flighted to the trauma center with a list of injuries. After all the surgeries, he asked me if he was going to be able to walk again..... I told him that he would but it was going...
Those hunts would be awesome. We have hunted Powderhorn and James Daughtry which are both great also.
I’m just glad they are starting to expand the youth exotic a little. It’s been only one location for a while.
Thank you sir. We just got back from a week long scouting trip and he really enjoyed the area in unit 10. Plus we took hunters education while we there because it gets us a bonus point for every species for the rest of our life- definitely a benefit for my 14 year old son. 7 more weeks....can't...
THis year, my youth son and I have put in for all the crazy low draw odds hunts. We actually don't want to draw because he drew an AZ elk tag..... between that and the deer lease we don't have much more time unless it's something truly special
The only problem I have with suppressors is That I didn't by some earlier.
They really help with younger shooters byt taming the noise some and reducing recoil. My son does not prefer to shoot without one
Working up a new load for my son's 6.5PRC for a cow elk hunt. Going to see if the Barnes lrx or Hornady CX shoot better. Had bad groups with H1000 but am liking what I am seeing with H4831sc
