Nice! I hunted Rhodes Canyon oryx a few years ago it was a great time. Here’s my post about it:

My buddy and I drew Barbary tags for the February hunt. I’m looking forward to seeing new country and hopefully my first sheep of any kind. If anyone has pointers for me I’m all ears
The bear population can sustain much more harvest and the population about 59,000 bears and growing according the the latest bear management. This is not a cdfw money grab, it is an honest effort to give hunters more opportunity in a sustainable way. Currently, some of the highest bear...
I'm in the same boat only a few elk points. I'll probably put in for something I won't draw and hope I get a my second choice tag. As a degenerate tag gambler am excited about the possibly drawing a random tag in Colorado.
I'm holding 9 deer points and hope to draw something this season to...
Hey Hunttalkers,
For those of you running the Sig Zulu 16x42 what harness are you using? Do you like it? I have a FHF Pro-M for my other binoculars and I do like it especially the tight closure to keep vegetation out, but want to consider other options as well. I really need something that has a...
As others have said the fishing in San Diego is amazing especially if you like the ocean. I would say the turkey hunting, duck hunting, and bear hunting is as good or better than many states, but you share it with a lot of hunters and hikers, birders and ol' hippie ladies praying to crystals in...
I have only done 2 guided trips and one was a great drop camp two years ago in Colorado and I'd book again with them. The first was more than 10 years ago with an outfit out of Libby, MT and it soured me on guided trips until this last drop camp. Our "guide" was just a driver and all he wanted...
We had another great trip to AZ. Thank you to all the hunttalkers who gave me pointers for my hunt, you know who you are. I also appreciate the resident hunters we met during the hunt, I'd have to say everyone we met in the field were real nice folks willing to help out fellow hunters even some...
Not going to lie part of me wanted them to hear the case to give closure to the reaming western states, but I'll take the win especially in New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.
I second this. I've had the 2.7 since it became available in 2015 with the aluminum body. It has been a work horse for me. 180K miles and still going strong. The only thing I've done other than routine maintenance has been the AC compressor.
A few more things to consider are:
1. do you want to shoot at longer ranges? maybe a longer axle to axle would be better for you. If you hunt out of tree stands or in dense cover maybe a shorter axle to axle is better for you.
2. if you are a large guy or a small guy this might impact which...
I just dealt with this about a year ago. Our old Victorian has saggin' walls and floors like you'd expect in a 1890's redwood studded home. Our upstairs had more than 2 inches slope over about 20'. I used a combination of sanding the old floor's high spots and laying down thin plywood and...
Man, I should have checked the updated tag allocation and not just gone off gohunt. I figured it would be the same as last year which I should know better since AZ changes all the time.
