It really isn’t- no matter what your personal political affiliation, public lands and national parks are a cause you can rally behind. However, once the elected officials get their marching orders, voices of those they are supposed to represent be damned.- R.K.

Yeah, people can get stupid out there. Another reason I like walking a ways and getting in some terrain. Or going mid week after the craziness. That really cuts down on the shenanigans. -

You can use the opening day craziness to your advantage- set up in funnels to catch moving animals, or just be willing to walk away from the road more than other people on bigger pieces. Terrain is a big help, as everybody wants to glass the big open flats and avoid anything resembling a coulee... -

Sadly, the double negative seems to be the only appropriate descriptor, as from what I understand per the Appeals Court decision, it is not illegal, (and cannot be made illegal per the UIA), but also seems it has no codified law making it “lawful”.- R.K.

Reevaluate the current circumstances? The circumstances are that corner hopping from federal to federal is not illegal. It’s just that some people don’t want to lose exclusive access to land they don’t own or pay taxes on.- R.K.

But you weren’t hunting while in diapers. You didn’t have your own tag. You weren’t pulling the trigger. THAT is the difference. I’m not saying “don’t take kids along on a hunt”. But having them be the hunter is a much different experience then taking them along.- R.K.

I’ve seen a lot of people take their kids out hunting at 5-6 to shoot deer. Heated blinds, food plots/feeders, tripods for crossbow or rifles. I wholeheartedly disagree with it- their minds are typically not developed enough to understand the gravity of taking a life for food. It usually is a...- R.K.
