Age is relative. I'd guess that ram was from Wrangells? They tend make full curl early in age (6-7yo), and die early as well (9-10). There was a study done a while back in the Yukon or NWT, I beleive, that looked at the age of rams and their life-span vs degree of curl. The majority die 2-3...- Bambistew

I've tried a few different 165 bullets, Accubonds, Sierra GK, and Speer Hot core. With 44gr of varget, winchester or Hornady cases, I got between 2700- 2730fps. Both from a Kimber Montana and a Rem 700 each with a 22" barrel. My go-to load is a the Accubond, very consistent at 2725 +/-10...- Bambistew

A few areas faired better than others, but not many. The core areas that historically held a lot of moose don't anymore. Better than not going moose hunting, but its going to be tough for a while in many areas. the 40 mile country is a shadow of what it used to be.- Bambistew

Crappy situation. I know of a few people that had moose seized for being under sized, and later determined they were in fact legal. In the meantime F&G gave the meat away and lost the antlers... could be worse. At least you know where they are.- Bambistew

Jumpstarter for a Duramax
The research I did led me down the path to this one as well. A bit nervous leaving the new truck in -20 temps for a few days going on a cabin trip this winter. probably take the jumper to the cabin to keep it warm just in case, if anything I can charge my phone to call a tow truck.- Bambistew
