Lucky enough to draw a bear tag on POW for '27. I've made a lot of phone calls and have come up with a few solid plans. I am not looking for specifics just general input for those with experience. I am with you. I am seriously considering dropping out of the western states points/applications money grab every year and using that money to save and fund trips to Alaska. The return on investment in the lower 48 seems to have deteriorated. I have high hopes for Feb. 20- bpeay4

Probably about a week so not super long. Being that it may be a quicker trip kind of leaning toward Ketchikan simply because of easier logistics. My understanding is getting to homer/seward requires a 4-5 hr drive from Anchorage by rental or shuttle/taxi. It may be a bit much to coordinate...- bpeay4
