Anyone have experience clearing snow with a tracked skid steer?
I also have ran them for many years and on steep slopes. On packed snow especially they will slide or spin out. For your question it will not have traction your skid steer does with chains.- jdf

Welcome. Visited North Pole a few times. Was just there and Fairbanks in August. -
Alaska Vacation / fishing trip
I would suggest Valdez in August. Lots of fishing opportunity for charters or just fishing from shoreline. Salmon Gulch Hatchery is real neat to visit with all the Pinks returning to Hatchery. May get to see a bear or lots of sea lions there. Beautiful scenery. Whale watching opportunities...- jdf

143 gr. Eldx precision hunter 6.5 creedmoor
Congratulations my wife new Tikka 6.5CM for Alaska trip. We tried those 143 precision hunters out of it and it did not like it. Switched to Norma bondstrike 143gr. It shoots lights out with it.- jdf

My wife and I did hunt in 2022. We leave and this month to do it again DIY so we will be up there. Make sure get head net. I would not worry about Stove. Hardly much wood around up there. Good luck. PM me if you want. At least exchange Inreach #s just for safety reason.- jdf

Fierce or Christensen Arms?
No experience with Fierce. But my CA Mesa 7mm is a flat out shooter. Might not be norm but mine is 0.5 moa with my handloads. Good value to me. -
I've whittled my collection down to three mounts
Sorry for your loss. I'm doing opposite. Just got apartment above garage finished. Set trusses with high ceilings in apartment to start moving all my mounts up. Lots more to move yet.- jdf
