Wife’s first bull. We locked my binos on where he fell in tripod. She could see me in the binos. I smelled him before I saw him. I had to use a saw to clear space for us to quarter him and take pics.- ElDudarino

First Elk finally
I think I have taken almost 20 people on their first mountain hunt. We used to drive straight thru to camp. It was farther than any elk I have killed. However, She has had the opportunity to practice out to 600 from multiple field positions. I would have put her range at 400 but since we were able to be calm and dry fire on cows for like 3 hours before he stood up, I had confidence in her.- ElDudarino

Realistic shooting distances
Reality is that there are too many variables to have a set distance limit. There are 800yd shots I would take and 50yd shots I wouldn’t. It comes down to having the experience to know which one that particular shot is.- ElDudarino

Pretty funny to be planning next season when this season isnt closed yet. But, I’ve done all my trips for the year so what else am I supposed to do. I would spend a Lot of it on ensuring that I can remain active well into old age. I would hire a chef/nutritionist and a physical therapist/trainer. Plans for 2023
My wife, who has never hunted, wants to go west and shoot something… she doesn’t care what state or species. I think our 3 options are MT Big game combo(I need to spend my points anyway), CO OTC or low draw tag or I probably have enough WY deer points to draw a general tag on a party app...- ElDudarino
