Awesome man. Sounds like you had a great time. 3000 elk is insane. Also is that a real young cow in front of that bull. His body looks massive in that picture. -

Above timberline lopes
Here is one I found above treeline in CO a few years back. Coming from the west desert of utah, I never expecting to see this. Shortly after this I found a larger group with a nice buck in the being pursued by a couple hunters with a Bow. -

How heavy are your day packs?
I weighted mine before a recent elk trip. 21lbs. This includes 2.5 liters water, a puffy, knives, small hatchet, snacks, game bags, small spotting scope and tripod.- BraidenR
