Whats with E bikes in whitetail hunting?

5 miles past the closed gate on industrial forest land. Port Blakley Timber Company. This company welcomes e bikes. All situations are not the same. My e bike that I have to pedal sure is not causing any damage were logging trucks roll every day.

Washington Blackie I was fortunate to bag this year. Hunted him for 5 days until he made a mistake. Shot him under this golden rainbow. One of those hunts you will always remember.

Moving to Washington state, hunting and fishing expectations?

That is a lot of the draw - and a lot of the issues too. The economy here just continues to amaze me really. In the Puget Sound region constant new construction pretty much my entire life. And that goes back to the sixties. But get out and explore a bit and you will find the "old" Washington.

Moving to Washington state, hunting and fishing expectations?

A lot of spot on information so far. Washington is really like 2 states. The eastern portion arid with terrain that varies from desert sage to forested mountains. Columbia and Snake river breaks with Sheep, Mule deer and Chucker's. Blue and Cascade Mountains hold Rocky Mountain Elk. Even good...

What were dealing with in WA

-Yes, this new permit law is over the top in my opinion, hopefully it does not survive the second amendment court tests.

What were dealing with in WA

The state government might suck, but the state is not so bad. Easier to leave than attempting to make it better. There has been recent improvement in the commission members hopefully it continues next year.

This is what my post was all about. Some get it, a lot do not. Surprising for a public land hunting forum.

    Losses at the Forest Service

I apologize for mixing up goverment organizations in my original post, although the Park service is in the same position. I try to think and act like a conservationist and all that is happening is not good for our wildlife and wildlands that I am sure of.

Great write up! Good luck on your new adventure out west. Being Washington you may have to work a little bit harder for big game but they are here. Think about taking up Waterfowl hunting, there is a lot of water around.:)
