So glad the rest of the world gets to experience Idaho's "RaNdOm" draws. If it was really random the process wouldn't be such a secret.
Good luck fellas!
Not to totally resurrect this thread from the dead but, I have some data that might be useful. The first 2 antelope killed around me were my wife's and daughters. Both did well green score and both shrank a surprising amount by scoring day... which is why this thread has always kind of been in...
Soooo... one of the boots I referenced in the "best my feet felt was barefoot tossing them in the trash..." was a pair of White's. Second pair was Hawthorns which is their secondary brand. Both were probably the best made pair of high quality boots that ate my feet alive. They are damn high...
Ah... the JNCO jeans and unlaced shoes...
I welded so many a truck together in shop and added 1/8 bar to the bottom of the truck for you guys to grind on rails... almost got in trouble until my shop teacher pointed out I also re-welded the rails...
Yes. Mostly worn out. But I was willing to try at yard sale price. Lysol and waited a few minutes. As you can see my pinky toe is already curved under. But they still kind of hurt.
Crispi was my next try. I found a pair at a yard sale by miracle in my size that I walked around in for a bit. Still bit my pinky toe but the rest felt ok. Cripsi is probably my next try unless otherwise persuaded.
I think you feel my pain... $50, $200, $600. They all hurt, leak, and wear out in the same time frame. It's just a matter of miles per ouch at this point.
The reason I'm asking is I've tried a lot of brands... they all happily say, "oh our boots will be the best ever! Just try them! Full return!''
I buy and wear for 3 months. Good break in period. Still hurt or blown out.
"Well it's beyond our warranty period...."
There are plenty of really good boot makers out there. But everyone's foot is different. The few times I've spent lots on "high end" boots, the best my feet felt was the day I walked barefoot to tossed those overpriced things in the garbage can. I've tossed a few $500 boots in the trash after...
A few people have seen him and said, "Well, knowing he doesn't make books would you still shoot him."
"Bang." "Bang a thousand times over."
I own what my friends call the greatest collection of almost... ALMOST BOOK.
I wouldn't hesitate on any of those hunts to do the same thing. If I'm in...
Buzz is the expert in this arena... Buzz. Buzz is your guy. I think his name is Buzz. He fights hard for your rights as a non resident... he's there arguing for us non residents to hunt. Might want to have his back.
I drew a tag and killed a 79 5/8 antelope due to the little help he gave me. Oh...
There's a very simple test that I've seen a lot of guys lose faith in very nice scopes with.
Crank that thing all the way to one side. Then up. Then over to the other side. All the way down and repeat. Go around that square 10 times. Reset to zero and shoot.
When it's sub zero and I'm shooting...
You guys NEED (as in absolutely have to have or cant do it) adjustable turret at 300?
That being the case I get it now. If you can't push 2 to 6 inches high and an inch over the suggested rules make complete sense now.
I got 520 lbs of meat off of mine. Filled my upright. I think mine is a 19 or 20 cu ft. Gave about 40 lbs away too.
Good thing you got bigger. Mine was so full it took a couple days to freeze all the meat even with 2 inches of air space between the top of the meat and the next rack. A butcher...
I voted "yes" because I do have them on most of my rifles.
Most of the time I just use Kentucky windage and elevation. I trust my experience with the rifle more than I trust the repeatability of the turrets. Hunting ground squirrels and prairie dogs for hours making adjustments constantly it...
It is fun to bust his chops... But he argues for me to hunt Wyoming. So he gets me standing up in a meeting saying Wyoming residents should get to hunt here. Everyone arguing for nonresidents to be cut off in their state gets the same from me.
Buzz should be the piler of deciding what to do with non-residents from Wyoming.
We could Zero out every other state on how they want to restrict us. I've listened to al lot a meeting were residents say no non-res. tags. But reading minutes from Wyoming that he's been in would should welcome...
huh... so the first I'm seeing this is now while I'm butchering an antelope and selections are done. WEIRD that NOBODY from my region was accepted. Cough... the area with the greatest non-res interest. cough, Upper Snake... Cough.
Dang it.... well hopefully they view it as, "How would I as a resident want things while keeping in mind I LOVE hunting other states and what do I hope they say."
