    Boarmaster, I saw your note about the coolers adn that you use something lighter for your kayaks.

    Any recommendations? I've got what I consider a pretty nice ATAK140 fishing kayak, but I haven't gotten a cooler or a crate for it yet because I'm inexperienced and having trouble figuring out the best approach.

    I use an RTIC 30 soft side. Its light, hold ice or ice packs well downside its a little harder to unzip and get open than a hard cooler. I used a small igloo marine cooler for a long time. I couldn't find one after my last one crapped out
