I have the lifetime license. It allows me to be in the resident draw, but at NR fees. I have max elk and sheep points, which is why I got it before I left.
Hey Bohntr you mentioned hunting that fire road above the reservoir and to look down towards the homes. It seems that almost all conservancy, Glendora city, or private lands. Can you hunt Glendora city and conservancy?
The conservancy owned stuff is allowable for public access…..except the designated park at the bottom, east of the highway, east of the forest service station. The other private lands are fairly low on the hill near houses, which you cannot hunt with certain distances of occupied dwellings. The upper ends of those properties, unless properly posted as no trespassing, are open to hunt.
Then I will be there too! I got an opportunity to buy a business in Texas and I’m headed there for 2 months next week. I’ll miss the bear opener but my A31 tag starts right when I get back.
Did you see that Catalina opened deer hunting up to 1000 tags if you have a D15 tag?! That season opens in November I believe for non residents.
Had a super fun season. Didn’t seal the deal with a bow in the foothills. Was using a 57lb longbow.
Chased this 4x4 for 4 weeks. Had him at 12 yards bedded but couldn’t see. Stalked in closer and got busted at 10 yards. He gave me a shot at 35 yards but that’s just outside my range.
That’s awesome…..especially when you’re after a big one. Pretty uneventful bow season for me. I passed a few bucks I probably should have shot….including a 34” wide forked horn with eye guards. Had him at 33 yards and was looking for a bigger one that was with him. Oh well. My son arrowed his first P&Y Coues deer up where I’m at. Thanks for the recap!
