44Hunter45 semi live climbing stand hunt
I have been using summit climbers for 15 years. I feel safe most of time. Only problem I had was when I learned about tying the two pieces together and the bottom went 15 feet down the tree. I had to do my best black bear impression ever. Lesson learned.- wweaver79

You answered your own question at the end. It can be a long road. I have a good NR rifle deer tag this fall. It took 17 years so it is not for everyone’s situation however. It is a good bit of non refundable cash going out every year. But it is a shot at multiple species and good quality.- wweaver79

You need to stop your daily life for three days prior and that entire season. Period. Short term medical leave, fake your funeral, whatever you need to do. Do not “ give it a week “. Have not hunted it hopefully someone chimes in for you. Congratulations!!!- wweaver79

Utah's Iron Sighted Hunts
Same here. Would use my marlin 45/70. It does have the 22 inch barrel with helps with irons. With how far I can reasonably shoot iron sights I am not really worried about the trajectory to much. Try to keep 3 inside 8/10 inch circle at 150 ( being realistic ) and I would be happy stay within... -

Find water, you will find them out in tall sage and tree pockets if there is water. They are not all up high in the trees like you would think. -

I was, I went as an extra. Tony and Eli already had clients so I went out on my own that morning and missed a low 80s pronghorn. Then at lunch we were making hotdogs and this monster ran by with a pile of does. I drew the tag as a NR with only 7 points. That was the other half of the luck. -

Second this. I hunt with two others. We apply in 9 states all separately for all big game. We have multiple great hunts every year because of it. Someone draws we all go. Hunting especially elk is best done a team sport if you have the right people anyway. Elk are a chore. You all do not need or... -

This !! Why not make the cases for common rounds and make them awesome. Would sell like hotcakes also. Add 150/200 fps or more to already popular rounds. Sell a 30-06 round pushing a 180 @2900 elk hunters will crawl to the store to buy it.- wweaver79

Planning 2025 Elk hunt
Get comfortable with bears. Look into Gen areas mixed in with draw areas south of the park. Most/all areas with open country for Gen and have lots of public and have quality bulls are draw only. There are some but no one will tell you. Homework and scouting can get you there if you have time. -

Want to make the unit you want worse. Post it in the open forum before you draw. Also. Do not shoot female pronghorn Wyoming needs every one. In general look where tags were not cut as bad - northern half.
