Updated Mystery Ranch Metcalf packs - any users?
I carried the new Metcalf 50 this year. It carriers very comfortably. I packed a rear quarter from a cow with no issues in November and then a rear and a front (boned out) in December with no issues at all. My only complaint is that the pack squeaks pretty badly. Colorado 2nd vs 3rd Rifle
2025 will start the new season structure (it changes every 5 years) moving 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rifle seasons earlier in the year by several days. Beginner Guide to Reloading - What equipment did you upgrade early on?
The rock chucker press has been the standard all other single stage presses are judged by for a very long time. If the rock chucker kit is still available, that is where I would recommend you start. Meat hauling capable daypack
I started my boys with a Teton sports scout 3400. It is not fancy and you have to stuff the meat inside the pack, but it can handle all they need for the day and a boned out elk front. And it cost less than $100. My oldest has helped pack 5 elk with his.- wsco3506

Hornady Interlock Bullets?

Actual Weight of Meat - Can we be honest?
This year we had a scale in camp. Here is what we carried off the hill for the cow I killed. Annual elk rifle thread
Weatherby vanguard wilderness in .308 win shooting 168 grain TTSX. Switched from a 300 win mag last year because I was tired of the recoil and was looking for a lighter rifle.
