    Talk me out of zamberlans

Suggest finding a retailer that offers free return and carries a few different brands. Order a few (if you can swing it) at once and return what you don’t like. Even if you return them all you still have an idea of how each brand fits your foot.

Junbugiii, How did your hunt go? I am considering 481 this year and came across this thread. Any thoughts you have on the unit would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Todd but I actually picked up a 1st rifle tag for The NW portion of the state this year. Any experience in the Flat Tops area?

    Which is the better glass?

So I’ve been reading through other posts on binos and it sounds like for close to the same price I can get the Meopta Meostars. Are they significantly better? Missionary Ridge/Henderson Lakes Roads

Will be hunting CO Unit 75 late September for elk this year. Was wondering if anyone is familiar with the Missionary Ridge and Henderson Lake roads and could tell me what kind of shape they are usually in that time of year. Thanks.

Nice. How do you like Colorado? I have about 1200 acres in Marshall VA that I hunt. Lots of deer, bear and Turkey.

No, forgot to check my replies. It’s been hectic catching up around the house now that hunting season is over for me. What part of Virginia did you move from? I’m in Culpeper now and have been working on convincing my wife to move out west.

From Virginia here. Fairly new to this forum. Looking for a western hunting partner. Interested in starting with Elk but I plan to start accumulating points in other states this year. Prefer backpack style hunting. Would be open to pretty much any state, would really like to try Montana. I’ve...
