    Selfbow from wind blown trees in Kalispell

    100% Norway Maple. Lumber falls into soft maple category so if you can make a bow out of that, your good to go. Seems like all of the city trees in Kalispell are maple or ash. Ash would be a good choice if a neighbor has one down.

    NW Montana 2020 Bear Season

    Had a slow start to the season, couldn't turnup many bears. When I started to find some they all were sows with cubs. One sow had 3 cubs with her. Still pretty fun to watch. My hunting partner wasn't much help glassing.... Had to wake her to tell her to put her orange on over her puffy instead...
