My parents are getting up there in age. As the thread suggests they were recently dropped from their prescription healthcare coverage. The hunting in Montana is incredible! The harvesting is difficult. If an experience is what you are looking for need to check yourself on what is actually doable. State land for sale?
Already happened in mineral county. Great calving grounds for over two hundred elk. State sold it at night. No one knew it was even being offered. at first was a seasonal rv park but now has year round residences there. Needless to say elk herd has plummeted. Fight for what you have if you can... -

Montana 2026 Elk Proposal
Currently in my district, a single hunter can harvest three elk legally. Private land cow tag, district wide cow permit if drawn and over the counter bull tag. If that hunter is over 75 can harvest a cow on their bull tag which would be three cows in same district. Bums me out as there are not... -

Multiple wolf attacks near Aspen over Memorial Day weekend
Wonder if the wolf actually got removed, Years ago mini horses were killed in my area by a pack, fish and game "removed" the whole pack. However three moths later out with my wife in the exact same area, saw 6 wolves. (Must of been ghosts)
