Wanting to preserve the velvet on the spike elk I shot but don’t want to pay a taxidermist to do it. Seen things about velvet lock online but can’t find any in Canada. Anyone have any other diy things to try

Frost last night finished it off. Was a good year lots of beets and carrots in the ground still. Picked many many beans this summer way less of them next year. Lots of tomatoes but not real big. Picked them all today and they are inside ripening now
The last goat I shot in 2019 I weighed the whole carcass before cutting. The whole carcass was 55 pounds just prior to me starting butchering. I had shot an elk the week before. One of the hind quarters weighed 55 pounds lol
