Entire family got it the last week. Kids passed it quickly aged 5 and 2. My wife and I had similar symptoms. I considered it a bad cold (my wife and I are both vaccinated and boostered). One night I had pretty good back pain and night sweats but other than that we recovered pretty quickly.
Me too my dog last weekend was on point 55 yards away down this steep hill at the end of the day in 3 plus feet of snow. It took all I had to go chase the birds haha....
My GSP was like yours his first season. 20-80 yards. This year in his second season he is starting to range out to up to about 200 tops. That's all I want in a dog range since the mountains I hunt in Alaska 400 yards can take you 30 minutes if there is snow. I'm guessing your dog will start to...
Agreed like I said for some birds a far ranging dog will find a lot more. I think prairie birds and mtn birds like chukar and ptarmigan that is especially true.
I have had labs and GSPs and pointing labs. I currently have a GSP because I upland hunt more than anything. IF you want a dog that covers country and may be 200-400 yards away and holding on birds get a pointing dog. For people saying that a flusher will kill as many birds this may be true for...
Dall sheep hunt August
September Caribou hunt
Silver fishing trip with my dad sept
Kodiak goat and deer hunt in October
Bird hunting between with the GSP
Maybe an Arizona bird hunt if I want to get out of Alaska for a little bit.
In addition will continue to build points in Wyoming, Arizona...
I grew up there... You have a chance for a big deer but more likely you will see a lot of 2-3 year old 4 points. Again the public property might be over stated. A lot of that area is leased by coal mines and you can't hunt that/
I would ask the breeder a lot of questions. Do they fit your hunting style, what are the testing backgrounds? How far do they range?
Pro's- great dogs. They are super motivated and energetic. They love to work.
Cons-Bit bull headed and independent. Got to be consistent on training. They...
I grew up in Wright, good luck. There are some big elk in that unit. I would consider paying a trespass fee or getting a guide if I were you public access can be difficult. A lot of the area that looks public isn't because of coal mines.
75% of tags go to highest point holders, 25% are random draw. The problem is 22 doesn't have enough tags for a random draw tag (unless it changes this year). So all the tags for 22 will be preference points holders.
Yep you are correct I looked at that wrong, I thought 45 was like 38, 39 and 40 where you can't hunt with a type 1 tag. 45 you can hunt sept 15-30th. Sorry for the false info.
