Lever Guns, what would you choose & why?

I have a Henry Long Ranger in 308. Oldest son has it now. It is a good shooter.

    New scope for my 22-250?

Midway has a Burris XTR II for $599 right now. I know it's above the price point, but thought I'd through that in the mix. Good luck., R

    Offrange NM Oryx Hunt 2025

Congratulations! Were you in Socorro County county? Hunted there a few weeks ago for coyotes. Saw several places where they crawled under the fences.

Everyone One On This Damn Forum……

I'm 78, my hometown in NM has an Old Timers Reunion each year. It's really nice to see some of our high school group still around. On the other hand the a-holes back then are the same now. Our group of about 10 people have an email train we keep in touch with now and then. Nice topic.

Anyone using a Toyota Highlander as their hunting rig?

I looked at a Highlander for my purposes, decided to go 4Runner. I hunt a lot in NM and needed more off road clearance. I do drive it 100 miles round trip to work and so, gets around 19-20 mpg per the calculated on board thingy. Love the room and comfort compared to a Nissan Pathfinder. Good...

    This javelina business

I used a 25 remington to hunt with when I was in high school, it was my dad's gun. It had a mauser action, used a magazine and it was hard to find ammo - he had to have it loaded by a reloader. Never new what happened to that rifle after I moved out to do my own life.

Great hunt and fine animal. Congrats. Spent 2 days in the country west of WSMR and the Bosque coyote hunting a couple of weeks ago. Great looking country.

Thanks to all of the help. I imagine it is the pressure, should have gone "west old man, go west". Will give it another shot in a few weeks. R

    NM Coyote Hunting Assistance

I just returned from a 2 day coyote hunting trip in the Socorro, NM area. We did approximately 14 stands in that time. We saw 1 coyote, and of course I missed him at about 100 yds. with my 22-250. We used two different e-callers (Lucky Duck, FREQ) and mouth calls. We paid attention to: car...
