300 wsm Ballistics help
The problem has been solved. I was running through all the things for what felt like the 1000th time when I realized the chassis was loose, giving the barrel some bounce. I tightened it up, and now it's shooting as it should be. I appreciate all the input from everyone. happy hunting! -

double checking all the things as all commented on, I then talked to Vortex and they asked that I try a test at the range with the paper and BDC crosshair measurements.... given all other things are correct and my accuracy is consistent it might be bad glass etching -

I'm using a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 BDC. I double-checked the scope height and it is correct at 2.25" from the middle of the barrel to the middle of the scope. I'm shooting 3 shot groups and my zeros are within a half dollar on or touching the bullseye. I've adjusted for elevation, temp in the... -

I was interested in the same Christiansen model when I was looking for a new larger caliber rifle earlier this year then I actually put my hands on it and wasn't impressed. I'm big on fit, feel and handling before I even bother to shoot it and it just didn't meet my requirements -

I’ll have to remember that, I do that with honkers and I’m pretty consistently 2 for 3 when presented the opportunity, never thought of doing it with pheasants…. Then there’s grouse, I don’t have a prayer with those things lol- razorrt5

Got my daughter a Tristar .410 semi 2 years ago for waterfowl hunting so I didn’t scare her off with recoil the first season of hunting and wouldn’t you know it….. first bird she ever shot banded!- razorrt5

Bird conditions 2023
Drove through ND a few weeks ago, it was looks very good far as moisture goes. Hopefully that keeps up for the next 3-4 weeks so the ducklings can move to bigger water….. where I will shoot them in September lol- razorrt5

Much respect, I was in the 82nd for awhile during OIF and it’s amazing how many people don’t know the insane history of the jumps during the WW2… guess that band of brothers show made the 101st seem more famous but it’s far from the truth of it- razorrt5
