I have a 3" SP101 stainless that I've used for carry when archery hunting and backpacking. It's small enough to be 'out of the way' yet big enough for what I'd run into in Colorado. If we had Grizz it might be a different story. Stainless is a good choice for the great outdoors.
Row crop farming is barely making a living for most farmers in this valley, especially the smaller farmer. Growing fruit is still profitable, that's why more growth is taking place in the lower valley, ie, Fruita. Of course there is also a lot more land in the Fruita area.
It's a top option even if you don't hunt in wet weather IMO. Making a waterproof bag just makes sense. Customer service is top notch but it helps that I live 15 miles from where it's made in Western Colorado.
