Does it really taste bad? I am planning to get a rug too and I plan to get it by killing a bear but it would be a shame if the meat isn't good- NoviceHunter

Question for Bear Hunters
I'm not going to lie. When I hunt my bear it will be because I need a rug. However I heard the best time to hunt them is in the fall but I could be wrong! I've read the meat is good as sausage but you have to cook it well to kill trichinosis.- NoviceHunter

Off Season Poll: How did you get your start into hunting?
I'm new to hunting. The reason why I'm starting to get into it is because my girlfriend wants a bearskin rug from a bear that I hunt. So naturally I must give her what she wants!!- NoviceHunter
