There's a new boar hunting preserve (cant remember the name) near Forestville, NY. anybody hunt there?

12 ga sabot for bear - During deer season

In Southern NY the whitetail & black bear season are concurrent. The only legal weapon for deer is a slug loaded shotgun. I will be hunting with Federal sabot rounds and would like to bag a bear if the opportunity presents itself. Has anyone out there harvested a black bear with a 12 ga slug...

Raccoon and Dressing

For those of you contemplating Raccoon I can tell you i have had it prepared similar to the above recipe. I recal it tasted like dark meat turkey. BUT you should remove as much fat as possible before coking. It really is good meat.

Dan; Thanks for your input. I didn't mean to say no CWD has been found in Domestic herds only that no DOMESTIC animals in WI had tested positive. You are correct that CWD was first identified in a Research herd in CO. Numerous animals (both Domestic & Wild) have been destroyed in the name...
