Wyoming General Elk License?
You have to apply for general 1st choice to draw it in the regular draw Years ago it use to make it to 2nd round only in the special draw.I won't mind spending 1300 on the tag if I gain a point as well.To me it doesn't hurt to try for it.Though it is alot to pay for that tag.I've wasted alot... -

Colorado elk/GMU advice
Go to the same unit 2 weeks later in the archery season and I bet you get a couple close encounters.They are so much easier to locate and formulate a plan for when they are talking alot -

First time applying as nonresident.... is it worth applying for points in Montana?
Montana is a bonus point state which means you can draw an incredible tag your 1st year applying.Odds are you wont,but there is a chance.If you archery hunt,there's some pretty good tags you can draw fairly quick- mixedbag
