No kidding, pine sucks for fires. Last time I drove out to the west coast I raided my buddy's woodpile and brought back a bunch of oak to burn in the wood stove here at our house, it's SO much better for the all-night burn.- LuketheDog

Yeah, I've fished the Arkansas River in Colorado many times where "restoration" work was done years ago, there are big pieces of erosion control geotextile waving in the current next to the still-eroding banks. It's a real eyesore.- LuketheDog
