Appreciate the input Beendare. You are the second person to suggest hunting north as an option. Perhaps, considering my age, conditioning, funding and the fact that I will be solo hunting, it will be my best option. However, I will contact Timberline and see what Pard has to say. Glad to hear... -

NM 6A Elk Help
I have not hunted 6A, however, I have hunted the Sargent Wildlife Area in 4 near Chama twice, once with a bow and the other with a rifle. Both hunts where in late September [last week]. Magical time to be in the elk woods. Hunters that I encountered that hunted the earlier hunt [2nd & 3rd week]... -
