Albino bull elk
Dont have any idea where this one is at or came from, but I have seen a lot of white elk on a couple different game farms. There are a few Piebald elk around Gunnison Colo. And used to be a white bull around there ,I think they called it the Stuben Bull.Been a few years. KW -

coyote hunting
A hunting friend from N.Central Ks called, and said they finally got a good snow cover, 9". They hunt coyotes up there in groups, with several trucks and four wheelers. Two differant groups hunted Sat. and Sun. One bunch killed 40 and the other group got 26. Pretty good for two days, Huh...- KW

This is the worst winter conditions for cat hunting in 20 years. Not a drop of moisture in 3 months, and 65 and windy today. The dust is terrible. I have caught a couple that I called in and then put the dogs after. No snow at all, pitiful!!! I did get out to colo. for a short hunt and we...- KW

First Day Out This Year !!
Hey George, I never thought about pens in the Northeast, I just thought they were in the south. Are they fox, coyote or both? I used to trap coyotes to sell to pens is Ark. and Okl. Got about $60 That was at least ten years ago. Are the dogs in the pic. running dogs? Will they tree? KW- KW

First Day Out This Year !!
Hi George, Wish I had some of your snow! We are dry,dry dry! Do you run your cat dogs on coyote? I dont,but know some people do. The grey hound guys here have been catching 5 or 6 a day. I been calling a few coyote and have shot 13. Have seen a few cats, but didnt shoot them as I like to chase...- KW

T minus 8 days and counting!
All this talk about cat huntin and Im ready. Its as dry here as its been in 20 yrs and 80 degrees and windy. I hope some of you guys send me some of your extra snow this winter. Hey George, Ive had coyotes ki-yi my hounds many times,and have had a few cold cat races turn into a coyote race because of it. I use to to use a decoy dog on coyotes,mainly in the summer, and have seen coyotes run the dog right up to me, I mean 10 feet from me in the open. When they have pups...- KW

Cougar question??
We have raised several cougar, and I was always watching their reaction to differant trapping lures. Oil of catnip, was always attractive to them. The reaction was a lot of slobbering and face rubbing on the lured area. Many old time lion trappers used oil of catnip in some of their lion dope...- KW

Strangest place your dogs Treed
Hey Josh, them mink are greased lightning! I used to have a dog that liked to run mink,and treed a few. They can run up or down a tree with equal speed! thank god they dont get as big as a bear, as they are tough mean fighters. KW- KW
