Like Fj605 you can build points and hunt every year and that gets confusing fast. My reccomendation is signing up for GoHunt and looking at everything CO. As a resident I'll usually get a point as my fist choice for deer and antelope then put in for things I know I'll draw as a second or third...
Kill kit, Extras kit (gloves, beanie, para cord), 2L water bladder, usually an extra jacket, spotting scope (depending on hunt), first aid kit, compass, matches, and a headlamp. I shoot a 300 win mag.
Welcome to CO! Unfortunately for you in Bailey your also right in the thick of every person from Denver getting to the mountains, at least those of us that refuse to go up I70. There is a badass 3D range in Bailey through the American Bowmen Club. As for the DQ its probably in Conifer or Evergreen.
I honestly don't believe if we got rid of TABOR it would help fund CPW at all. It would be like everything else it would go into some shady general fund where the money would just disappear and without TABOR they would just raise taxes more. At least with TABOR we get a say in how we are taxed...
the unit borders a very good unit in Wyoming so if you can hunt close to the border you might be able to find a bruiser going back and forth looking for does because the seasons will be closed in WY. Also having hunted 102 in Wyoming just a little northwest of there defiantly scan the sage brush...
