OK, one more question on this. I have 10x42 vortex, marsupial calls for a small. Anybody know how tight they are in the case? Would getting a medium be a dumb idea, i.e. will by binos be bouncing around in the case?

About ready to pull the trigger

Replacing my old bino harness (leupold) with something that is more compact and will fit better. About ready to pull the trigger on a Marsupial harness w/ rangefinder case. Can anyone talk me out of it and into another option? AGC and Badlands are too bulky for me. FHF? TK?

Thanks for that writeup, great info. One additional question, being that we are going or archery, is there advantages to camping low and hunting up, or camping high and hunting down? I understand we need to find water, but do you all have a preference?

Thanks for the info guys. I think we can probably forgo the stove and maybe pack an extra base layer to sleep in if the temperature dips too much. I am leaning towards grabbing a bear tag. I'd hate to have the opportunity and not have a tag, and for $100 its not that hateful. I will...

Trekking Poles

I use Hiker Hunger. All carbon fiber, light, lever locks, and cork handles. Great customer service too if you break them. just order a replacement piece instead of the whole pole.
