Its all about perspective!
Actually helped my parent’s neighbor’s kid w his college thesis on that subject about whitetails while he was working w the TPWD. We would go to Kerr WMA n measure cut antlers from their pinned bucks over each bucks lifetime from a giant test pool. Very interesting stuff…TONS of variables!! -

I agree with what you’re saying Here comes the but…..be careful on not letting people taking some of the animals; smaller ones, in limited numbers..ESPECIALLY ones who are just starting out and kids!!! I personally made that mistake with my daughter and regrettably, I lost her as a hunting... -

I know it’s not Montana; which I do hunt w good friends that r born n bread in the Augusta area, but like my grandfather told me, “if u shoot em, they don’t have no chance” I mainly hunt on family land in Texas; low fence, various sizes (50-900+acres) we used to shoot (‘70-80’s) any buck that... -

I know it’s frowned upon by most; understandably so, but this is out of a sturdy tower blind, w a shooting table, bags, known yardages/rifle trajectories, and calm deer…more “harvesting” n definitely not real “hunting” Other than w my bow a good 90% of my deer/pigs are head or neck shots- JV842

His leg; shoulder, is cocked up, rt where the humerus connects to the scapula..Rt where I was aiming I knew I wasn’t going to be cutting any chops, roasts, etc…so I really wanted to see how that bullet n reload performed….more pics to come when I cut him up in a week give or take a couple days- JV842

Depends on the pig…he’s getting to be on the big side of what I like to eat, so will definitely throw in a decent amount of fatty pork butt to it; 75/25 wild to store bought. I have him in a saltwater ice bath rt now in our walk in cooler n will change out the water tomorrow. Then hang him...- JV842

Was looking for a doe or spike this morning it was pleasantly surprised w some breakfast sausage walking through the field!! Wanted to see how my 120grn ttx out of the 7X57 performed on a decent sized animal so put it rt on the point of the shoulder at about 130yds…didn’t take a step and clean...- JV842
