E Caller for backcountry hunts
No ecalls for bear or lion allowed in Montana. But to answer your question, the Foxpro Scorpion is very compact. I have had one for years, great unit. With a TV remote for scale.- Jcs271

Where to hunt wolves.
If they were all actually taken by hunting (not in combination with trapping.), I would certainly love to know the details of how he does it. Just a guess, but something tells me It probably involves private property and setting up on dead livestock.- Jcs271

Where to hunt wolves.
Very few people spend a lot of time chasing them simply because it's such an incredibly low success rate. I personally could care less about shooting a deer but I will easily spend 100 days a year chasing predators. Here is one I took in 2014 with my longbow. That was HARD!- Jcs271

Favorite animal to hunt?
Elephants, on foot, up close, in the bush. In all seriousness, I would forgo all other hunting if I could do that for two weeks a year until my death! Not even close, but second place is calling wolves in heavy timber! Not interested in ever shooting another deer/elk.- Jcs271

Bullet selection for close range black bear
For big bears up close, don't screw around with a conventional cartridge. If things go wrong, you could be eaten alive, or worse! Ideal Wolf Hunting Dates for a Winter Trip?
My absolute favorite time to hunt wolves in areas with heavy timber is from opening day on September 15th till the first day of the general season which is sometime around the second or third week of October.
