Caught the young male. Left the traps set in case he has a buddy. He was headed right back to the salad bar.
Have no idea where it came from. Never have seen a one out in the sagebrush or anywhere else close by. Unless they are hid on the neighbors place. Would have thought they would have been...
Watering the beds this morning to stay ahead of the heat.
Went to water the lettuce and behind the hot house there is a hole going under the poly carb panel. Raised eyebrow can't be. Sure enough a stray rock chuck dug under and mowed my lettuce off.
We have traps set for him now. Since he knows...
howl, I have sciatic pain and just found the belt a month or so ago. It actually works. First good sleep I finally started getting after a year or more of nothing more than 4-5 hours a night.
Plus red light laser work.
Drive the trailer when backing up not the pickup. I can't give directions to the other half when backing up. Put I can back up and he can guide me just fine. Switch up and have her try backing the trailer but go practice some place with space.
I had to learn when I was a in my late teens while...
no, not soggy, the only soil that is wet/damp is the first 4-5 inches and it dries out too fast. Could be the bags I have which came from A.M. Leonard which are good quality. Mine are 5 gallon size.
Probably the way I hold my mouth? Don't know but done using mine.
WhoDoug, I've tried a couple different soil types even potted bag soil. Don't know what is wrong? I've flooded the top but mine only goes down so far and comes out the sides. When I dump the bags the last 4 " of soil is bone dry.
My asparagus is finally coming up have cut enough for one meal...
I have one crazy apricot tree if full bloom now. Yesterday morning 21* going into the 20's again this morning.
Had a light crust of snow on the grass a couple mornings ago.
Was getting all itchy to plant something. Glad I didn't.
I've tried the grow bags with several different items. Haven't...
Guess I was extremely lucky. Growing up in a family and friends who all hunted. Women who hunted and gathered. But talking old school living and learning.
I enjoy handling and being around rifles and shotguns and even handguns. But I enjoy trapping, hunting and now gardening.
I'm not into...
We had a glorious day yesterday. Hit in the mid 70's. Everything is wanting to wake up and start growing. Some trees the buds are swelling. I keep telling them not to rush just yet.
I had 2 asparagus shoots come up waiting on the rest. I have a handful of strawberry plants greening up.
Looks...
Got the Shotgun yesterday. It's an Upland Coachgun by Stoeger side x side in 28 ga. Waiting on shells to arrive to go see how it does against the shoulder and such. It is nice looking wood stock fairly heavy but not so nice that it won't ever get used and abused (probably).
Start with the tires. We had problems years ago and finally took it to a place with a Forced balance machine. One of the front tires was bad. 2" lift shouldn't really bother anything. Done a lot of them on different vehicles over the years. Done some ourselves and had other installed by 4wheel...
I've got lettuce growing. It's still wrapped or growing under a frost blanket. Been watering it. We went to 15* yesterday morning.
Planted some asparagus starts yesterday. Hope they grow.
Just stuck my head out the back door it snowing.❄️
My back has been bad for years. L4 L5 look like a Z. This last year has been almost no sleep for me. Maybe at best 5 hours a night. Some nights I'd end up sleeping in my chair.
Anyway got really tired of it seeing a chiropractor and he suggested red light laser. I'll have my 4th visit tomorrow...
