    best rifle for women????

    Tracy shoots a .308 Win Mod 70 Classic Compact. With 165gr bullets it is good for just about everything and light enough for her to carry. She is 5'2" and about 120pnds, recoil is minimal with handloads at about 2650fps. I love watching a woman walking over mountainis with a rifle!! goat

    Cartridges used in Africa

    I took a .416 Rem mag for buffalo and a 300 WSM for all else. Ended up just carrying the 416. Shot everything from buff to bushbuck. Those big slugs make nice holes, there's no such thing as overkill. goat

    Had a short run in with a mature bull elephant. Not sure what he had in mind as I didn't stick around long enough for the conclusion. Worst thing I ever had run at me was a griz. Can't see the dang thing all the time but the noise and bear just getting close fast!! Not cool!! goat

    JB I'm currently loading 86gr of Varget with 350gr Barnes X for about 2670fps. These are 1gr under max for my rifle and didn't show any pressure signs in ZImbabwe. Make sure if you use this info you start at about 80gr. Post a pic of your doe after you pump her, I'm curious!! Elkhunter, the...
