Same over here in western Oregon. I have not seen any factory 7mm Mag ammo on the shelf for over a year. Its getting close to deer season and I would like to have a couple extra boxes to play with at the range before the season opener. In a perfect world it would always be "one shot, one kill"...
As much as I appreciate your generous offer I would just not want feel right about sticking you in one tiny unit like 102. I do believe that Wyomings general units are better than anything you will find in my home state. I think I will just head east and grind it out with the other 200...
I am still in disbelief that as a non-resident I was fortunate enough to draw Wyoming's deer unit 102! I hope to get there a couple days early to do some glassing/scouting.
If you had to do it over would you pick the same unit? I have been considering 53 as well. I am currently sitting on 9PP and getting a little itchy to burn them on a Wyoming speed goat hunt. I too am in search of the elusive 80"er.
I love my havalon but carry two knives with me. One is a sturdy bladed knife for the heavy work and to pry with so I mainly use my havalon for skinning. The blades do break easy on the Havalon if you try to pry with them so that is why I carry the second knife.
