There were a few buck tags leftover, but of course in areas with minimal public land. There are always alot of leftover whitetail doe tags all over the state. I don't have a copy of that list though.
I believe your tag is good for north of the sweetwater River. I would look in the beaver creek and twin creek areas. There are a lot of elk in there. You just may have to wait for them to move onto public.
Well he shot a smaller 4 point the first evening so he’s definitely happy! It was a fun day of hunting and the area is definitely loaded with deer. There is some diverse terrain and overall neat country. I would love to have the tag myself some day and be able to spend some time in there!
