Haul Road in September
I didn't hunt the haul road but stayed in Prudahoe and was transported up the Ivishak Aug 25 and came out Sept 1. There were a lot of caribou along the haul road near Prudhoe the day we came out. Things you've mistaken for elk/deer
The old black mineral tubs in the sand hills can be surprisingly deceiving. The new plastic ones are blue or orange so the confusion is less but they blow around once the mineral is gone 😤- Forney

Looking at new stocks
Did you guys notice any accuracy improvement? I have a Vanguard in .243 and accuracy has always been finnicky. I was thinking a B&C stock bedded might improve the accuracy over the melted-pringles-lids stock it came with. -

Bird dog questions
I read Gun Dog by Wolters when I got my spaniel. It's old school and I was a little too heavy handed but it's good to have an idea of how the dog thinks/test you if you don't enforce your commands.- Forney

Can you out live point creep?
I hope this doesn't hijack the thread, but I'm curious what HT'ers think the hunting population will be in 15-20 years? I guess I thought less and less people my age (29) would apply for points and my age would have less point creep than older demographics. Maybe I'm delusional. If you could...- Forney
