Looking for a good deer/elk knife
Mora knives will do any job you need to do on game and are easy to sharpen in the field. Cheap and tough. From there the sky is the limit.- Feshaw

Wearing Contacts in the Backcountry?

Where should I be hitting paper at 100 yards.
If you sight in 1.5” high at 100 you’ll be set for any big game animal at 200. -

New rifle for deer
Longer barrels are more challenging in a tree stand if that is a consideration I’d also consider a caliber with ammo that’s more easily found. -

Which rifle should I sell?
Both great calibers. The ‘06 has a connection to your Dad. That would be a consideration to me. -

Nothing while I’m hunting. Have a hard enough time hearing game as it is.
