i bet the majority of guys so opposed to crossbows love to pull out their long range guns and shoot 1000 yards at animals, at least you have to be within effective bow range for a crossbow. i dont have a problem with them!
now thats a real woman! nice bow, i would recommend putting a new rest like the mathews version QAD drop away to get better performance, if you spend all that money on a bow you should not cheap out on sight and rest(thats not knowing what your old stuff is ,but if it is 11 years old its time...
it always looks better across the river. LOL i was in there one time for 10 days with permission, saw some nice deer. i think a boat is your only option unless the BLM gets that access road done to go around bullwhacker.
i believe you put in once before march 15th, apply for the non resident combo and 900-20 at the same time. if i were you i also would put in for a hard draw for deer as well. and yes you need the archery validation as well , before you apply for an archery only tag. new this year. and in my...
i was looking at the new management hunt in henrys but dont want to burn all my points, im sure there are some 3x4's that would look great on the wall. You might try that.
just got back from there last night. roads were dry and good. no elk for me. saw 25 bucks but none were very good. shot the biggest 4x4 i saw. i was in armstrong coulee and saw some bulls, no cows. good luck
it's been a while since i hunted that unit. i had a trophy deer tag and shot a nice buck . was able to bugle several bulls in during my deer hunt , actually had more fun with the elk, as far as drainage's its been too long to remember but not far from the main gate theres a road that heads...
I was able to take my niece on her first elk hunt this year, we hunted several days and had a great time. I called her in a 2 yr old cow to 15 yards and she put the hammer down on her first animal ever, was so proud how she kept her composure and got it done! of course i had to shoot something...
blah blah blah, same old guys bashing an organization helping wildlife! lets say they only give a $1out of $10. thats still better than nothing. Maybe utah fish and game should not take all the cash they get SFW to help fund their projects.
Don has been a great asset to utahs wildlife!! utah has some of the best elk and deer hunting in the world. So what if hes making a living, no different than Hunttalks posterboy david allen.
im an oregon native and have killed many bulls the first few days of the season by blind calling, almost all the bulls come in silent but its very effective before the hoochie mamma crowds show up!
