adding a heavier rifle stock to go elk hunting doesn’t sound like a good idea. Either caliber will kill elk. You won’t want to carry any more weight than you have to if you are in elk woods.
stick w/ 7mm, save your money... will kill anything you need to in North America, might want more for a grizz, but a guy in wyoming killed one with 7mm last season.
We drew the early rifle Maroon Bells tag this year! Was going to do the typical backpack hunt but have not been in this part of Colorado yet. We are really looking forward to this one because we really enjoy the high country above treeline stuff!!! :) I was wondering if anyone had any ideas...
I have two and they work great, just make sure you check the set screw every once and a while and get it made early. It seems like the leupold shop that makes these dials dont get in a hurry. I think one of mine the lost or forgot about because it was 3 months until I got it. The dials work...
