Any Barnes fans out there?
I quit using Barnes X bullets in 2001. I shot a Kudu with my 338 Win mag at about 150 yds, hit him hard in the lung area, one or two drops of blood. I was lucky the guides found him the next morning or I would have lost a $1,500.00 animal. I have killed two very large moose with that same load...- deadeye2

Scope Leveler
Hi Jb, No my leveler will not stop that little problem that I have also ran into while mounting a scope using Weaver rings, but it will let you see the cant before you finish the job and correct. -

I am walking pretty tall right now. :D Just received US Patent Certificate on my invention, the Deadeye Precision Scope Leveler. Makes me feel rather privileged to have had an original idea that works and is patentable. A long and expensive undertaking, but if it were easy, guess everyone... -

Reloading for my 6.5/06
I never load bullets larger than 125 grs. in my 6.5-06. It just doesn't seem to like the heavy bullets. I seat all my loads out to the lands and back them off about 10/1000. This gives me my best groups. Be safe, have fun!- deadeye2

Where else besides South Africa???
JJHack, I hunted S. Africa about 18 months ago with a PH named Henk Brink. I had a good time and shot six of the larger plains animals. 40 gr V-Maxs and Ballistic Tips
I may be wrong, but if the range is under 200 yards the flat base will shoot better groups, the BT "wrobble", what ever, until they get over 200 yards, then they "kick-in" please correct me if I have stated this wrong? :confused:- deadeye2

What dies do you use?
My wife gave me five RCBS dies for Christmas, in 1974, with the press and a Speer reloading book. I never used them for a of couple years.(Kids in school, work, work!)
