Montana. Sounds like any WA mule deer hunting you do will pale in comparison to the deer hunting you've already done. Assuming you dont already know the unit in MT, you could learn a lot about the Montana unit in a weekend that will make you much more efficient with your actual hunting time...- crock239

Just came back from Costco and, alas, they appear to be gone....otherwise I'd hook you up. :p Will be using mine on WY elk hunt in a couple weeks, probably should have gotten extras just to have around or for the kids.- crock239

I have both the Cascade carbon from Costco and a Black Diamond aluminum set that were about $100. I carry the Costco ones because they are lighter (16oz) and have cork grips. Both have flicklocks. $350 Scope Recommendations
I have a trijicon huron 3-12x40 and like it so far. I recall reading some folks comments here or on RS that the eye relief is better than specified, and I'd agree. I can't tell any difference between it and my Leupold VX3s. -

Apologies if repeated question...did a quick search and didnt see it answered... When using onx to provide driving directions to a waypoint, can I assume it defaults to roads open for public travel? (E.g. county roads, or open NFS roads, etc.) Not routing on BLM roads that might cross...- crock239

Huh. Guess I should have looked at this thread before the leftover draw. Buddy and I whiffed on everything else but we drew type 6 cow tags in the leftover draw...oh well, hopefully worth the camping trip! -

Talk me out of a Leupold SX-4 15-45x65
The issue with your current setup is likely the zoom lens. There's a better nikon zoom lens (20-40 MCII) but honestly those nikon ED spotting scopes really shine when mated with a wide fixed lens. You could get a new scope, or you could get a wide fixed 24x or 30x lens for your current scope...
