    I've been very happy w Maven C1s. I recently upgraded to swaros but my mavens went to NM, CO, and AK...couple of those were glassing-intensive hunts and I was happy w them. So happy that I kept them as my backups and sold my Leupold Gold Rings 10x42s I don't have any experience w the others...

    Yeah that's the Type 6 reduced price or whatever they are...agreed those are a steal....but I don't think many of those go into leftover? At this point in the calendar the OP might only have full price cow tag options in secondary draw or leftovers? My crew picked up some of the leftover...

    So does that mean a $704 full price NR WY cow elk tag picked up in the leftovers, split between 2 guys is actually a sound financial decision?? that'd be a first...never tried to justify hunting as a cheaper way to get meat as it just doesn't work out.

    I went with Talley LW lows 30mm on Mark V 6-lug w Trijicon Huron 4-12x40 Agree w others likely personal preference. I like lowest scope mount.

    I was able to get a few from an Amish community near me in IA...went to the feed/seed/hardware store and told them I'd like some pigeons... Couple days later I went pack w cash to pick them up. Also found a local game bird breeder where I could buy mature quail about the same price as pigeons...
