Kimber compromise
My boy has a mountain assent in 6.5. Shoot perfect for the first 2 shots. With the ultra thin barrel it get hot and is then more of a pattern then group.- Coyotes-R-Us

Tragic lesson
Kinda the same thing as LONG range shooting of game. There has been times I was Under some "hunter" shooting across a mile ridge , maybe only 900 yards, at elk/deer. The bullets where dropping and hitting the trees over MY head, no where near there intended targets....:hump:- Coyotes-R-Us

Longer trips with higher mileage vehicles?
I had a 94 Sububern for 20 years it had 300,000+ took it to AK, Texas, Chicago and hundreds of hunting trips in state, an MONTANA is a BIG state. If you feel good with your truck do it. My sub did not stop or brake down I hit a deer at 70 mph and ended my relationship with my Sub...:eek:- Coyotes-R-Us

How young of Kids to Take to WY?
Both my kids have been "Hunting and fishing" with me from a very young age, the boy , now 42 , was in a baby carrier when he started. Had to carry him every were. The daughter was a tad older , now 40, but the same thing. Most of the time it was just me with them. We are still hunting together...- Coyotes-R-Us
