+1 for this. I had an inReach Mini previously and it took forever to send/receive but last fall moved to the messenger (puck version) and it’s way faster.
Thanks for posting this; very salient topic as I think there are a lot of folks going back and forth on whether or not to drop their inReach and just use their iPhone. One quick question re: the last bullet. Could you just go in and manually turn off the cell service to force the phone to switch...
So by this logic, why don’t we just go ahead and advocate for weapons capable of firing in burst? Or fully automatic? Where does it end? This isn’t about fear or ignorance, so we can dispense with the tomfoolery. It’s about maintaining some semblance of challenge and difficulty to the craft and...
Beyond that, I find it….interesting? coincidental? disingenuous?…that you’ve been a member here for about as long as it takes to drink a cup of coffee and are soliciting signatures for a petition. Maybe put some effort into contributing, developing rapport, and getting to know the community here...
I read it from start to finish and my previous comment stands. This is a solution in search of a problem. If you want to be successful in the field, it begins and ends with the time you invest. I have yet to meet a muzzleloader hunter who has issues filling their late season tag.

I have a 35 Whelen Rem Model 7600. I’ve killed a lot of deer and multiple bears with it at ranges anywhere between 25 and 200 yards. I use it primarily as my east coast “brush gun”. Typically shoot a 200 grain bullet. It’s pretty lethal.
Yeah. I think this year it might be a joint award, where a couple of them share it. I don’t think it’s ever been shared by three people, though.
Can you imagine, the only guy in NCAA history with 5 championships, and zero Hodge trophies? I agree that it’s not, or shouldn’t be, a career...
