    I guess I was just thinking I we could chat a bit about the Book Cliffs. I have never hunted it but have a an archery deer and bear tag this year. I will be scouting it as much as possible. I am not sure if your private tag would align with the area my tag is in.

    I am not from Idaho but have been researching the state pretty heavily for future hunts. Some of the reports I have read is the Salmon zone has low elk densitie now because of wolves. Perhaps an Idahoan can elaborate further. You may want to shift your sights to Colorado.

    UT bonus point, worth the purchase?

    You can draw an archery elk tag with 8 points as a non-resident. I did it three years ago and was at the top of the points column. It wasn't the best unit in the state but the hunt was great and I killed a good bull.
