    Whitehots and powerbelt stuck.

No neither the whitehots nor the powerbelts suck... users error.... Pellets are for inlines and about the 3 or 4 sidelocks made specifically for pellets. Your TC was not made for pellets. Get loose powder

.54 caliber patched round ball elk load?

And besides... Can you really believe this chart? A .530 ball weights 223-224 grains... A .535 should be in a 230gr range, yet they are stating 220..... those numbers do not match.

.54 caliber patched round ball elk load?

... Stop looking at modern day numbers, that shit was made for modern day bullets that need a certain amount of energy to work properly. AKA, copper jacketed, hard lead bullets. A ball thats almost 9/16" of an inch, is going to cause a ton of damage. My first muzzleloader elk I took with 80gr...

these are not the usual tacks you hear about. I do not like the usual tacks, so i went with 100% brass powder horn nails. I think crazy crow or dixie gun works has/had them. No burning. I used a lot of birchwood casey walnut stain, then rubbed it back in areas where, wear, would naturally...

Bullet fit / loading pressure to apply?

thors should load with as little as 10lbs of pressure, all the way up to 30lbs. If they are super hard loading, its the incorrect size.

    Protective Measures For Traditional Muzzleloaders?

You can use electrical tape over the muzzle just fine. A cows knee over the lock area keeps water/snow off. DO NOT EVER carry your muzzleloader with the hammer lowered down on top of the cap! Huge safety issue. Always carry either uncapped or at half @#)(# ( safety ) Depending on your gun, you...

    Blast from the past

Testing some of that old Lube 103 patch lube. I let the bag sit in the sun for an hour to melt the lube since its almost as old as me. Now the .015" patches are a little on the thin side for my bore. I normally run .020" patches. The first clean patch I recovered had just the slightest hole on...
